So, as mentioned in my exposé on introversion and mental health, I’ve recently started my internship and career as a public relations and communications professional! It’s been equal parts exciting, terrifying, and enriching, and I’m absolutely stoked for the near and distant future of my career.
But what does that mean for me and my social state? What about for my blog?

Well so far, not a whole lot. I’m still me – meaning I’m still the most awkward thing on this planet, and I still need to find a way to navigate life with that fact in mind. Work is no exception. Being in a proper workplace obviously brings special challenges to someone like me, and that’s something I’m going to jump into further soon. I think a lot of people – even those not as socially inept as myself – face social challenges when it comes to adapting to a professional lifestyle. Coworkers, responsibilities, expectations – all things that are new to a lot of young people (at least in the capacity that a workplace demands) and all things that I can’t wait to talk more about.
As for the blog, I’m still here! Traditionally, my posts have been relatively short, around 350 words. Moving forward, I want to keep this going, but in a slightly different format. Less regimented, and less piecemeal if that makes sense. I want to continue tackling the same topics I always have, but with a little more depth.

I have all kinds of new experiences coming up that I can’t wait to share, and many new topics I want to approach. Though life is changing quickly, I’m still the socially anxious introvert I’ve always been, and I want to use these new experiences to help others and myself.
So stay tuned! I’ll have more to share in the coming weeks, including a full dive into my next topic – the ungodly fear of networking.

I love your honesty and openness to talk about how you are feeling. I know there are so many people that are in the same boat and will benefit from your insight. Love you!
